- Prepare the Band and Buckle: Slide your stainless steel band through the buckle, fold the tail end under, and wrap the assembly around your target (e.g., a pole or pipe).
- Load the Tool: Open the tool’s gripper and insert the tail end of the band through the nose and into the gripper slot, letting the buckle rest flat against the tool’s nose.
- Apply Tension: Turn the tension handle clockwise (or operate the ratchet lever) to tighten the band around the object.
- Roll and Cut: Roll the tool over the back of the buckle to lock the tension, pull or push the cutter bar handle to snip off the excess band tail, and hammer down the buckle ears for a permanent seal
